GENERAL CARE

Avoid exposing your jewelry to water, lotions, perfumes, and harsh chemicals whenever possible. Remove jewelry before sleeping, swimming, showering, exercising, or cleaning. When not being worn, store your pieces in a dry place away from humidity and direct sunlight.

METALS

STERLING SILVER

Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time when exposed to air and moisture. This is normal and easily cleaned.

To restore shine, gently polish with a soft jewelry polishing cloth. For heavier tarnish, wash with mild soap and warm water, dry thoroughly, and polish with a silver cloth.

If your piece was oxidized on purpose to give it an aged look, I suggest using a yellow Sunshine Polishing Cloth.

24K GOLD PLATE

Clean 24k gold plated jewelry with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid polishing cloths, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners that may remove the plating.

Store in a soft fabric-lined box or a resealable bag to help prevent scratches.

GOLD FILL

Gold-filled jewelry is durable and designed for everyday wear.

To clean, gently wash with mild soap and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish.

BRASS & BRONZE

These metals can develop a natural patina over time, which many people love.

If you prefer a brighter finish, simply polish with a soft cloth or use a gentle brass cleaner.

You can also make a natural cleaner using lemon juice and baking soda or vinegar and salt. Rinse with water and dry completely.

Remember, metals naturally darken or develop a patina when exposed to air and moisture. To slow this process, dry jewelry thoroughly and store it in a clean, dry place—ideally in an airtight bag. I like using small ziplock baggies.
